China China

Last days in Lublin

It was Thursday and we had to meet up with Nikodem again in Lublin, near his hometown. We went out that Wednesday so we were pretty tired but we decided to take the second bus to Lublin at 1130. The problem was that the bus never turned up and we had to wait till the next one at 1315 near the station. Thanks to this matter we could see the Orient Express in the train station and I think that's very difficult because plenty people were there watching it.
On the mini bus Edu helped a girl to put her lugagge in the boot so she was talking to us for a while cause she spoke English. She told me that she was living in London.
After two hours and a half we got Lublin and Niko was waiting for us kindly as usual.
Edu and I decided not to go out because we were pretty tired after that terrible trip on the bus so we rested for 10 hours or so.
Next day we were visiting a palace and the surroundings of Niko's town: castle, cows and a bit of history of that area.
When the night fell we went out again with some Niko's friends in Lublin. I really enjoyed that night.
Next day we were sleeping most of the day and we took Edu to the bus station because he has the flight the day after. That was the goodbye till next time.
Niko and I went out again that night with a friend from his town called Edyta and with other friends from Lublin. We went to a very cool place which name was Chocoladda or something like that. I enjoyed that place as well as the other one we visited before.
Next day we were resting and waiting for Nikodems 's friend to take us to Lublin. We had to spend the night sleeping in Warsaw's airport because we had no accommodation that night.

I really would like to thank Nikodem for being so kind to my friend Edu and I giving us accommodation and teaching and showing us everything over there. Thank u to Magda and to the other guys who stand us during our journey too. I recommend everyone to visit Poland. Next trip on mind CHINA.

Krakow

The next step of our trip was in Krakow but as I told you before without Nikodem. We spent our first day there just resting because we went out that night and we were quite tired. We knew everybody in the hostel. The security guy was even drinking with us one night. We were visiting Auswitchz (concentration camp from the War World II), the only Salt Mine in Europe and a Comunist district which name was Nova Hutta as well as the nightclubs, restaurants, pubs and other places of interest. The weather wasn't really good and some days we decided to stay in the hostel because was quite wet.

Next Three days

We spent the next to nights in a mountain city called Zakopane. I really enjoyed that place despite the weather was awful there. We couldn't go to the mountains because was quite dangerouse because of the rain but we were walking through the village and also the wonderful views from the top of the Sky jump. We found very nice places to have our meals and I tried plenty Polish dishes over there. I have to say that I became addictive to Kefir which is a kind of natural yoghurt but nicer and healthier. After these three days in Zakopane Magda went back to Krakow, Niko went to his village near Lublin and Edu and I went to Krakow as well to spend five more days watching everything we have to see before go to Niko's flat.

Poland Diary

The first three days there

I spent my first day between Jawidz in the countryside and Lublin which is a bigger city. Daniel one of Nikodem's friends took us to the city for a night out but I was very tired and I went to their flat soon to have a rest. Niko was seeing another friend meanwhile. Next day we moved to Warsaw to his cousin's flat and we went to the airport to meet Edu. I have to thank Niko's cousin because he was very kind giving us acommodation. Next day we got up pretty early to go to Krakow. We met Magda who was showing us the city. After a sightseeing day we went to a hostel and we prepared ourselfs for a night out in Krakow. We met two more Niko's friends and we went to a Jewish district and then to a nightclub. We were very drunk and Edu get lost because he met a girl and he couldn't remember the way back to the hostel.
